Ice and Water Shield Application
Why this matters
Ice and water shield is the self-adhering membrane installed at vulnerable roof areas to protect against ice dam infiltration. How it works

Width at eaves

- Minimum 2 feet (24 inches) past the warm wall line

Installation procedure
Step 1: Roof deck preparation

- Shield applied directly to deck

Step 4: Continue with standard underlayment

- Wrap up the sides
